The year 9 debating club – live! from GyRa studios

On Tuesday evening members of the debating club of Mr Köhler showed the audience what they learnt last year: not only to argue but to debate. For that they had to follow strict rules and had to convince their opponents by the use of well-founded arguments, formal debating strategies and, of course, excellent English. The students discussed the hot-button topics gun control and equal pay and they managed to achieve all those goals very impressively, making the audience think and laugh.
